Prodrug mechanism

Twinstrand's novel prodrug technology is designed to take advantage of proteases required in the progression of a great number of human diseases (matrix metalloproteinases for cancer, HIV-protease for HIV/AIDS). By engineering molecules which are specifically 'activated' by these proteases , Twinstrand has the ability to readily produce individual therapeutics for a variety of specific diseases.
